RNP Approaches
I’ve just updated several pages to reflect recent developments. Firstly, “RNAV” approaches are now being renamed “RNP” approaches. More importantly, the CAA have now lifted their objections to the use of SBAS during LNAV/VNAV approaches. This means that, if carrying out an RNP approach to either runway at Cambridge, the Garmin will now offer a V/LNAV approach which is a usable 3D approach to a Decision Altitude. The guidance symbology is new, so be sure to read my notes on LNAV/VNAV approaches on the RNP Approaches page. Finally, the links to Eurocontrol RAIM check pages have changed, as have some of the setting, so please visit my updated GPS Status & RAIM Check page.
