Note that the formula used to calculate the minimum RVR or visibility required is:
RVR/VIS (m) = [(DH/MDH (ft) x 0.3048)/tanα] — length of approach lights (m)
where α is the glideslope, typically 3.00°
If a DH/MDH is increased by NOTAM, then:
The required Increase in RVR/VIS (m) = (Published Increase in DH/MDH (ft) x 0.3048)/tanα
